Mary Frances Ivey

During Summer 2015 Mary Frances Ivey (Art History, 2016) served as an intern for the Robert and Dee Leggett Art Collection in Virginia. She also received the Art History Research Grant to do research in London for her Honors thesis, Victorian Women in the Workforce: Depictions of Governesses and Prostitutes in Mid Nineteenth-Century English Art. Dr. Holly Sypniewski, Associate Dean of Arts & Humanities, wrote in an email to the A&H division about the Honors Symposium in February 2016, “We should be particularly proud that two of our students [Mary Frances being one of them] were asked to present during the high profile Millsaps Forum session on Friday, which was attended by many Presidential scholars and Trustees.”
